Bacon which is salt cured slice of fatty pork originated in China. While green beans originally come from South and Central America. Somehow, someway, and by some stroke of genius someone combined the two together to make an amazing dish known as bacon wrapped green beans. Todays recipe is an easy way to make delicious and prefect bacon wrapped green beans.
Ingredients
16oz/453g Fresh Green Beans
12oz/340g Think Slice Bacon (For the UK: Not rashers American style bacon)
1 Teaspoon Onion Powder
½ Teaspoons Garlic Powder
Salt and Pepper to taste
Instructions
Step 1 – Rinse off the green beans and cut off the tips that still have the plant steam on them.
Step 2 – Take five green beans and wrap them in bacon and place them in a cold skillet seam side down. Repeat this step until all of the green beans are wrapped.
Step 3 – Place skillet on stove top and turn the stove on to medium low heat.
Step 4 – Once you start to see grease at the bottom of the skillet sprinkle the spices on to the bacon wrapped green beans. Do not move the wrapped green beans until the bacon on the bottom is children brown and stuck together.
Step 5 – Cook each side of the bacon wrapped until they are golden brown. Once they are fully cooked all the way around take them out of the pan and place them on paper towels to remove the access grease. Once the grease has drained off they are ready to serve and enjoy.
