Mango Braid Pastry Recipe

Here is another French Pastry we really love to eat durning the summer. This pastry is very easy and fun to make. It doesn’t use any sugar as the mangos are ready sweet and get sweeter when bakes. This braided pastry as quickly become a family favorite and for good reason, it is light delicious.

Ingredients

1 Mango

1 Package Ready Made Puff Pastry

Step 1

Preheat oven to temperature specified on the puff pastry package

Step 2

Slice mango into ¼ or ½ inch thick slices and set aside.

Step 3

Roll out puff pastry onto baking dish lined with parchment paper. Measure 3 inch from the side of the pastry to the center on each side and make a light line from the top to bottom of the pastry to mark where the mango slices will go.

Step 4

Lay mango slices slightly overlapping each other in the middle of the lines making sure not to go outside of the lines.

Step 5

Cut 1 inch thick strips along each side of the pastry. Fold the first two strips into a slim x shape and repeat until you get to the end of the pastry.

Step 6

Bake pastry braid in the oven from the temperature and the mount of time specified on the pastry package. When pastry is light golden brown remove from oven and let set for 10 minutes. Best served warm, room temperature, or cold.
