Pancakes is always a special breakfast here at our little chateau. Everyone loves them but we don’t have them very often. This recipe is a little lighter than then the average pancake recipe which have buttermilk, heavy cream, butter, and sometimes even lard in the recipe. You can even substitute with skim milk for this recipe.
Note: Make sure to cook pancakes to golden brown if you aren’t use to using olive oil it will help to cook out the flavor of the oil.
Ingredients
- 1 ½ Cups All-Purpose Flour
- 3 ½ Teaspoons Baking Powder
- 1 Tablespoon White Sugar
- 1 ¼ Cups Milk
- 1 Egg
- 3 Tablespoons Green Olive Oil
- 1 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract
Directions
Step 1
Place all in ingredients in stand mixer and mix until smooth and well combined.
Step 2
Heat nonstick skillet to medium heat and pour batter in the Center.
Step 3
Let batter to cook until small bubbles form on the top and start to pop then flip to cook the other side.
Step 4
Cook until golden brown on each side.
Step 5
Top with your favorite topping and enjoy.
