Mango Rice Pudding Recipe

Mango rice pudding isn’t something we normally have but we wanted to spice things up a bit. The thought was to make a rice pudding and to add mango to it. Mango is one of the families favorite fruits and it sounded like it would go very well with rice. This is a blander form of the recipe but if you would like to give it a little pop you could add some cardamom which goes very will with both rice pudding and mango.

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ Cups Rice
  • 1 1/3 Cups Milk
  • 3 Tablespoons Sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon Sesame Seeds
  • 1 Large Mango Diced

Directions

Step 1

Wash rice in a sieve until the water runs clear.

Step 2

Drain rice and place in a sauce pan with the milk, sugar, and mango.

Step 3

Bring rice to a boil and then down to a simmer for 30 to 40 minutes or until rice is sticky and creamy. You may need to add more milk depending on what kind of rice you use.

Step 4

Serve warm or cold and enjoy.
